SELECTION PROCESS
Being named one of the Nation’s Top One Percent is not an easy task. To start, a potential list member must be nominated either by a peer or identified by the in-house research team at the NADC. This research team thoroughly investigates each nominee using all publically available information, including websites, profiles, reviews, case results, and many more sources of information.
From there, once the candidates are gathered and the research team has submitted its list of potential list members, a blue ribbon panel of attorneys with podium status in their own independent organizations reviews the findings. These attorneys have demonstrated a unique position to be able to select the “Nation’s Top Attorneys” thanks to their resumes and history as a leader in their field. In order to maintain objectivity and impartiality, the section committee members come from independent and neutral organizations.
Finally, the candidates who are selected by this blue ribbon panel are presented to a judicial review board led by several former judges. This board considers each candidate and determines which ones have “epitomized the ideals of the legal profession” through their reputation and exceptional performance. Those who make it through this final selection have demonstrated admirable character and virtue as well as performance at the highest standards in the industry.
This process is so rigorous that only one percent of all attorneys in the nation are able to make it through, and selection is a testament to supreme skill and capability in the courtroom as well as honorable and outstanding character and conduct.
